HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is possible that infection or stone may be the cause of the pain. Urinary tract infections would normally have other symptoms such as frequency of urination, discomfort on urination, change in the colour or odour of the urine.

If you do not have any of these added symptoms then infection is not likely and the pain may be due to a stone.

The ultrasound would be able to determine if a stone is present. The treatment of kidney stones involve the use of pain medication and a lot of fluid. If the stone is small then it would pass on its own.
If it is too large and medical intervention would be needed.

I hope this helps
