I just had an iud put in two days ago and My lower abdomen hurts bad almost like labor cramps. and when I sit down it feels worse and kinda like pressure being pushed upward. I thought maybe I was constipated but I have used the bathroom and it still feels that way.

Hello,

Pain after IUD insertion is not normal. We have to evaluate that. Do you have a fever, bleeding at present? Go to emergency room urgently as there may be a chance of infection or perforation. Take a tablet Meftal spas after consultation. Treatment depends upon underlying conditions. If it is painful, then we have to remove it. I will suggest you follow up with a detailed history or consult with a urologist for a detailed examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale
