What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Followed By Diarrhea?

Hi I am a 63 yr old white female. About 10 pm last night (it is now 5:38am) I got sudden lower abdominal cramps/pain. I went to the bathroom...had a bowel movement followed by diarrhea and then a sudden onset of nausea followed by vomiting and a cold sweat. About 2am I woke up to call into work and again went to the bathroom but this time in cleaning up from diarrhea it was bloody. The lower abdominal cramps have not stopped and again I am in the bathroom room and again bloody to clean up. Pain level is about 7-8. I m going to get ready to go to the hospital. Am I over reacting?
