What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Do Meftal Spas Tablets Have Any Side-effects ?

Hi Doc, i smoke 20 cigs a day. i keep getting painn in my lower abdomen n in my kidney area now n again. i take meftal spas n i feel as if i was tipsy for a while and then i am ok. do i need to worry? i 30 years female

Hi,
If you are getting such recurrent pains during times not just before/after/during periods, it is ideal that you should consult a General surgeon. If required, the surgeon might as well ask you to get an ultrasound done for further evaluation. Regarding smoking, it is advisable anyday to cut it down as much as possible and do monitor your BP regularly as it can get affected with smoking. Regards.
