What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramping And Vaginal Odor?

Hi, last night I douched for the first time because of an odd smell I had for a few weeks. I have recently been tested; so I know it is not because of an std. I thought it may be because of a yeast infection but after taking medication, I realized that was also not the cause. I thought douching was my last hope. All day, I have had lower abdominal cramping and I was wondering what may be causing it and if it is a serious matter. Thank you.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Vaginal discharge, odour and lower abdominal pain can be due to pelvic infection, which is the infection of the genital tract and adjacent organs.
This will not be treated by douching or vaginal pessaries.
You need to take appropriate antibiotics to treat the infection, after consulting your OBGYN specialist.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
