What Causes Low Grade Fever And Headache?

I have had diarrhea for 6 weeks which is uncured by anti-diarrheal medication. I have also had an intermittent fever (as high as 102.5 orally). All of my labs are normal. CBC, BMP, Thyroid, liver function tests, everything is normal. The only exception is that I m waiting on a stool culture and a Celiac antibody test. In the last 24 hours I have also experienced nausea, vomiting, back pain, and headache, and I currently have a low grade fever. I do not have a PCP and the ER doctors refuse to delve any further into my condition or help me get to the root cause. I am baffled since my labs are all normal. What is your advise as to the probably cause and my next steps?

Hello welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.

Your symtoms suggestive of colitis like infective etiology. Your first investigation now should be stool culture. According to culture and sensitivity report antibiotic course prescribed. If stool examination shows parasites than albendazole like anthalmetic drug prescribed. If stool report normal than colonoscopy can be planned. So this should be approach in your case.

Hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
