What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Headaches And Nausea?

16 year old daughter has been home from school sick with fever, mostly low grade, for 3 days, going on 4 days tomorrow. Today, even with Advil 2 hrs earlier, fever is 100.4, Headache for last 2 days and just a general yucky feeling, doesn t want to eat. when she does eat she feels nauseous. Do I need to take her to her dr s? If this is a strand of flu not much they can do. right? It doesn t seem to be the scary high fever flu going around, but what do I know. Please advise. Thank you.

hi mam/sir, the following are the probable causes of her symptoms :
1)viral respiratory illness(pneumonia, influenza ,pharyngitis, sinusitis)
2)urinary tract infections
3)typhoid
4)meningitis
anyhow, as she has been suffering from3-4 days, i would suggest a detailed physical examination followed by essential laboratory investigations to arrive at a specific diagnosis.hope my answer clarifies your doubts.any further queries are always attended promptly with pleasure.please do write to us.thank you.take care.bye.
