What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Diarrhea In A Child?
I have an eight year old that started a fever on Sunday. The fever has been anywhere from 99.7 to 101.5. The fever will lower after Motrin. She sounds a little stuffy and has sick breath that is pretty strong. She had diarrhea yesterday but none today. We have been keeping her on water and Gatorade as she does not have much of an appetite. I m thinking virus but am wondering now if something else.

I really appreciate your concern, most of the time it is the viral condition and it is advisable to be patience for few days, if the fever does not subsided the it need to be send for investigation and clinical examination to ruled out the bacterial, and parasitic infection, till the care need to be taken for hydration and fever hope this information helps.
