What Causes Low Expiratory Reserve Volume With Breathlessness?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...I have a low (1/2 of normal) expiratory reserve volume with no COPD or asthma. I sometime feel a gasping sensation-especially in airplanes or hiking at higher altitudes. What could an explanation be?

Hello,

This is called the altitude lung disease. You should be careful to take steroids shots with you when you are especially in high altitudes.
