What Causes Low Body Temperature In A Toddler?

Hi my baby is 8 months old former preemie baby born at 28weeks. I ve noticed she has a low body temp, it s something she s always seemed to have when I ve checked her temp in the past with a digital ear thermometer. It s usually sitting around the 35 degreesC mark, sometimes lower and sometimes higher usually anything between 34-36. Ive never thought of it as a problem, just happy her temp was never too high but on a discussing board they had brought up the subject that had me concerned. Is a constant low body temp a problem or not?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, welcome to HCM.
If your child has appropriate weight for height, then it's nothing to worry. I think you should do thyroid levels in child because sometimes low thyroid can result in low temperature. Take care.
