What Causes Low Blood Sugar Levels In The Morning And Fluctuating BP Readings?

hi, my mother is 73 years old and is diabetic, she sees her regular dr every three months, but all he does is go over her blood work and adjust her medication, he doesnt answer any questions she has, and she is always so dizzy she can hardly walk, and she wakes up with severe shakes a lot of times in the morning, she always feels horrible, can you tell us what to ask her dr to check? most mornings her sugar is really low, like in the 40s and 50s and sometimes her blood pressure is really low and sometimes high

Dear sir, hi! welcome to HCM. we are here to answer your unanswered queries. Morning hypoglycemia means,
1. her liver is not making enough glucose overnight.
2. her kidney functions need assessment
3. her bedtime drugs need revision.
hypo is the reason for her shakiness, fluctuating blood pressure can be due to hypo episodes as well. in short everything that she is facing can be due to hypo attacks. so kindly make sure she eats properly, check her sugars more frequently, reduce bed time drugs, check her Liver and Kidney functions.
regards!
