What Causes Loss Of Voice After Wisdom Tooth Removal?

Hi I had my wisdom teeth removed last Monday and have lost my voice. It is day 6 post-op today. I wanted to know if this was normal as I have not heard of this before. I was under general anesthetic for an hour. I know it is from the breathing tube but shouldn t it have subsided by now?

hellooo...read thru ur query...i must say that it can be due to the breathing tube inserted which might have caused some inflammation of ur voice box(laryngeal edema).it happens in some cases...but nothing to be worried...be cool and wait for few days...take medicines prescribed by the dentist properly..if still after a week problem persists meet an otolaryngologist and get it treated based on clinical situation..meantime avoid having too cold food..drink lots of food...follow softdiet ...anyways ur dentist might have prescribed antiinflammatory drug after extraction it might also well apply to this...be cool...hope ur benefitted something from this reply..have a healthy day!!!
