What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Nausea?

I have been feeling nauseated for the past few days, but no loss of appetite. Had light headaches, felt light headed yesterday. Had slight pain in my lower left side of my abdomen. I slept for 12 hours last nigh but feel like I have not slept in a week. My job isnt stressful, I eat three really healthy balanced meals a day. I drink lots of water.

Hi,

A loss of appetite and nausea may be due to many causes like infection or Irritable bowel problems or food Intolerance or gastritis or cholecystitis or appendicitis etcetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.

Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week. If symptoms not improved, then please consult your gastroenterologist so that he will do endoscopy and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
