What Causes Locked Knee?

I ve had a locked out knee for 6 weeks . Can t fully bend or extend it. I ve had this problem since age 19 , I m now 54 .Past X rays showed a bit of floating bone . Past scan advised nothing wrong , yet this has happened a dozen times, more so when pregnant . In the past I ve had it manipulated back whilst under . This time I ve been left untreated and need you to tell me how long l can expect to be immobile please . I m broken & no one will fix me !!!!! Your symptoms fits in one of the two diagnosis loose body inside the joint or meniscal tear. Both can be confirmed and managed by Arthoscopy, which is a minimal invasive surgery and can be performed on day care basis. With excellent results. And further delay in treatment may lead to early degerative changes in joint and osteoarthritis.
