Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been experiencing lip and jaw quivering...also muscle weakness and leg cramps. Often my right arm feels weak. I ve been to the doctor several Times and they always tell me I have anxiety but I have seen my lip and jaw quivering and I m just wondering what could be causing all this? Strokes? A difficency of some kind?
Understanding your concern. If you have only twiching of muscles then its a benign condition, need not to worry about that and it will resolve soon. If you have quivering along with other symptoms for more then 24 hour you should consult doctor.
Quivering is due to fibrillations of the muscles in the area. The fibrillations can be due to many reasons due to varied inherent electrical activity.
Aging, stress, potassium deficiency in diet, excessive caffeine intake, electrolyte disturbance, injury of the muscle, medications etc are common and noteworthy.
