What Causes Light Vaginal Spotting After Taking Junel?
I started Junel fe 1/20 last month. I got my period as normal however it was lighter and shorter than usual. I am on week two and spotting. I had unprotected sex 5 days ago but I have taken all of my pills on time thus far. Is this bleeding a normal side effect? Is it my period a week and a half early?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern... Off and on spotting is common with the use of birth control pills such as junel fe. It happens in first 4-5 months of their use and then goes away. It is more common in cases where you have took the pills at different times of day. Effectiveness of pills decrease when you take pills at different times of day. There is nothing to worry and you continue taking your pills.
You should also undergo a pregnancy test to rule-out pregnancy possibility as you had a very light last period. Consult your gynaecologist, if you are pregnant & stoptaking the pills.
Refer to your gynaecologist Hope this information helps
