What Causes Light Spotting After Intercourse With Weight Loss?
I am 57 and have been post menopausal since age 43. I haveI am 57 and have been post menopausal since age 43. I have had very light spotting after sex about once a month since that time. My doc is sounding the alarm bells, since I also had one incident that was not related to sex. I have recently lost a lot of weight and I think that was due to the release of estrogen from the fat cells. I have not got insurance and do not think this needs any investigation. Thoughts?

According to your complaints, the common cause will be dryness.
Dryness due to infection, improper foreplay leads to dry sex and injury, dehydration due to decreased water intake or diabetes, increase age causes vaginal dryness, hormonal imbalance since you had menopause
1. Infection in the vagina can also cause spotting along with pain, swelling or itching
2. Forceful sex can cause injury and spotting
3. Benign or malignant polyp. can cause spotting and painful sex
4. Foreign bodies due to unhygienic sex, sex toys
5. Vaginismus -anxiety can cause pelvic muscle contraction and cause injury
6. Eczema
7. Deep penetration can cause injury and spotting.
