What Causes Light Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

2 Sundays ago I started a abnormal period, I say abnormal because it was way lighter than usual , but it did last about 5 days and that s very normal for me. 2 days later I ve got really bad pain in the ovaries and this lasted up two almost a week. And today, now I m bleeding again. I don t know what is going on, this could be a side a affect of the plan B I took over a month ago, but the weird thing is is that this is my 2nd period since them , and my first period was normal.
