Hi there,

I am sorry for the situation your father is in.

Having leg pain while deep asleep at night might be related to:
- diabetic neuropathy (damages to the nerves due to persistent high blood sugar level)
- vitamins and minerals deficiency (vit.B complex and/or Magnesium)

I advise to get him checked by a neurologist to rule out diabetic neuropathy. A short course of vit.B complex i.m. I prescribe to my patients together with supplementation with vitamins and minerals.

I also advise to take good control of his diabetes as it is crucial in improving of his symptoms.

All the best!
Dr.Albana
