What Causes Leg Cramps Along With Nausea And Delayed Periods?

Hi. I lost my virginity right after my period ended a week and a half ago. I take my combination birth control pill every morning when i wake up, and we didnt use a condom. Three days after i felt light cramps, sorta nauseous, and got really panicked my birth control might have failed? I havent been on my next period yet, as its not expected intil next week. Am i worrying for nothing?

Hi,
If you have regular 28-30 day cycles even without birth control, the period just after the menstruation and the period just before, are considered safe, as ovulation usually occurs two weeks prior to the onset of the next menstruation and this, is the fertile period when pregnancy happens. The symptoms you have felt could be non-specific and/or the after effects of the intercourse and some cystitis. Please do not worry, just wait for your next period and see a specialist if you do not see it even after a week after it is due. Take care.
