What Causes Leg Ache After Insertion Of A Femoral Artery Stent?
I had a femoral artery stent in my left leg about 3-4 years ago. It kept on getting flogged . I had other procedures to open it to no avail. Eventually I had bypass surgery. Now I keep getting sharp shooting pain in the area of the leg where the stent was placed. Is this indicative of a problem with the original stent

Yes, the original stent was probably not totally effective and therefore the pain continued. As far as tortuous blood vessels go it is always a better idea to use self-expandable stents which are longer and more flexible.
