What Causes Left-sided Neck And Shoulder Pain Despite Taking Aleve?

Hello....I have had a pain on the back left side of my neck almost down to the shoulder blade for the past month and a half. It comes and goes. I ve taken some Aleeve and it does the job for a moment but it s still there. What is probably the issue/problem and is there such thing as Arthritis in the neck?

Hi,

Aleve is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory inflammatory drug&relieves pain due to inflammation.

Recurring pain you have in the back of neck to shoulder on the left side not getting relieved by Aleve. Seems to be due to some nerve pressure at vertebral level (maybe due to faulty posture or degenerative changes in bones).

Please consult an orthopaedic surgeon an X-ray/MRI of the regionalism confirm/exclude the reason.

Anti-inflammatory pills with some physiotherapy exercises mostly help)non relieved pain some times needs surgery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
