What Causes Lack Of Vaginal Bleeding After Having An Abortion?
Hi,
I had a 2 day abortion which started with the laminaria on Friday the 9th and aspiration on the 10th. I have had no bleeding after the first day, and I was informed that being this far along that I would have had lots. My breasts have also started leaking a light white fluid. I am worried that the procedure may not have been successful. What should I do? Should I go in for a check up even though its been a week? Please help! Thanks!

Understand your concern
As you did surgical abortion, bleeding will be mild as whole pregnancy product was removed at a one time.
Breast discharge may be due to hormonal imbalance as estrogen action will be dominant after abortion. I advised to you to consult the gynecologist and go for USG scan to rule out incomplete abortion/retain product of pregnancy. If it will be there should be removed by misoprostol or D & C.
