Lately I feel myself needing to take huge gulps of air through my mouth, normal breathing is not getting enough air to my lungs. I am also coughing a lot, although I don t have any obvious infections. Coughing aggravates when I talk a lot. I have had this cough for over 6 months, but this breath problem has been just for a couple of days

Hematologist 's  Response
Hi,

There are many reasons for difficulty breathing. It can be due to some problem in lung or heart or it can be due to low level of hemoglobin.

So you should go for x-ray chest, complete blood count test and physical examination. That will give you the exact cause. Then take treatment accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
