What Causes Lack Of Body Movement In A Just Born?

my nephew was born (full term) last jan 15, 2011. he didn't cried when her mother, who is my sister, gave birth to him thru cesarean seizure. his color is normal and he looks normal but he was incubated due to difficulty in breathing. since last Saturday he has shown no body movement but his fingers and feet responds whenever her mother and father talks to him. right now, a ventilating machine is attached to him. the doctor is not telling us why these things happened to him. her mother took care of him very well while she was still pregnant. we were all shocked of what happened. please advice us.
