hi see when u undergo a gastrectomy a part of your stomach is removed. u have to understand that there are cells in different parts of the stomach which have different function. the distal stomach has cells that release hormones an oi important one being ghrehlin which induces hunger n iis important as far as your appetite is concerned . that it is why the appetite is reduced. you can take syrups which contain co enzyme q and other enzymes which induces appetite to help . for starters take syrups aptivate 2tsf once a day.
