What Causes Knee Pain?

Me left knee has been hurting (aching) for the last year or two, it aches when i have been standing or moving around for an extended period and the top left side of the knee is very sensitive when touched and aches,it feels as if i is swollen or something.

I would suggest you to get the x ray of the knee joint and MRi too. It will tell us if there is any injury to any internal structure like meniscus,cartilage or Ligament. If every thing is normal then you can be relaxed that it is not a serious issue. If some thng is problematic then treatment can be done accordingly.
