What Causes Knee Pain Post Total Knee Replacement?

I am a 60 yr old female. Total knee replacement 01/15/14. Have been doing okay. Yesterday started having acute knee pain. Feels unstable when pressing side to side. Pain up and down stairs, difficult getting out of chair. Some swelling noted. Can You dislocate an artificial knee? No injury but did a lot of housework yesterday.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
I have studied your case and I think that your implant may be loose. This is the only reason why you feel instability. I would suggest you to meet the doctor who has operated and get X ray of the knee joint.
Other common cause may be infection. He might need some blood investigations like ESR, CRP and WBC.
Please share his opinion with me. I will try my best to help you. Knee dislocation can occur only if either implant placement was wrong or you had a bad injury.
Thanks
