What Causes Joints And Nerve Pain While On Xanax And Seroquel For Mania?

Have Mania. Take Lithium since 1974 Have many side effects neuropathy / carpal tunnel like symptoms. Thus I take a low dose of Lithium. 100 to 200 mg Lithium CR at evening. Also take Seraquel or xanax they cause joint pain, nerve pain. Age 67 male. Need a new class or type of meds Thanks

Hello

I read your statement and i understand your concern about the side effect of Quetiapine.

Yes, i causes muskuloskeletal side effects such are still muscles and joint pain along with other list of symptoms

If u cant tolerate Seraquel, It can be changed to other atypical antipsychotic drug

If i were you psychiatrist, i would change Seraquel to Olanzapine 10 mg as a initial dose and then increase your dose to 20mg/day
