What Causes Itchy, Swollen And Burning Rash On Face And Neck?

I have a rash on my face and neck. It is very itchy, burning severely, and it is swollen. I have had this three yrs in a row at my cottage. I weed wicked and cut grass before this rash occurred. I have cold symptoms and a very itchy throat with a dry cough. No blisters on my skin. Feeling flu like. Thank you for your help.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention in your query are clear cut indication of allergic reaction occur due to weed and grass. There are particular species of weed and grass known to cause allergy . These type of allergic reaction may range from mild rashes to serious condition like anaphylaxis .

I would suggest you to take shower immediately to remove any thing that stick to your skin , Stay in air conditioned room . take plenty of fluid and take over the counter antihistamine drug like benadryl oy zyrtec .

These drugs give temporary relief . So book an appointment with dermatologist without any delay . Doctor will take history and evaluate the condition properly and rule out condition like anaphylaxis . Doctor may give adrenaline shot to treat the condition .
