What Causes Itchy Spots On Upper, Shoulders And Neck?
For a year now I have spots across my upper back ,shoulders lower neck and one or two on arms and legs. The shoulders can be very itchy. At 79 yrs young I hoped it may be a sign of returning youth! I do have a complex kidney cyst and maybe my left kidney is not detoxing enough. Anything I can do to help myself? Dry skin treatment has not been beneficial. Due for MRI in 6 weeks. Many Thanks.
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
