What Causes Itchy Scalp?

Hello, About a week ago my neck got very tight and my lymph node behind my left ear was swollen. My neck has loosened up and the lymph node has mostly gone away. Now, my scalp in the area that was swollen is itchy. I suspect a bug bite or allergic reaction, but the only worry is I have moles on my head and although they haven t changed I am worried about the itchiness. Should this be something to be worried about?
