What Causes Itchy Red Spots On The Legs While On Melatonin?

I am taking melatonin 10 mg every night to help me sleep. I have been taking this medicine for about a year but over the last 2 weeks I have been itching on my legs my back my chest the back of my hands and have broken out in pencil size red spots where IO have been itching. I haven t been to the dr, yet but i m going to make an appointment tomorrow. Have any ideas?

Hello,

As far I know melatonin does not cause any red rashes. Since I had done a thesis on the same drug I had given too many of my patients to sleep and it has come out very beautiful result no side effect noted at all.

But if you are taking any medication along with that then it would have caused interaction with that particular drug. So we need your detailed medical drug history for that.

If any drug you are taking along with it, then you need to stop that drug for some time to avoid complications.
