What Causes Itchy Red Patches On Inner Thighs, Parts Of Lower And Upper Back?

hi, my daughter has red patches spread out in her inner thigh, and parts of the lower and upper back ... it s itchy and causing discomfort ... she just had her vaccine injection yesterday (chicken pox and 5-in-1 booster) .. she has no fever at the moment

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Seems to be urticaria, which can happen after vaccination, mainly because of the adjuvants present in vaccines.

If i was your treating doctor i would have wanted you to apply a topical soothing lotion e.g calamine lotion frequently over the rashes.

An oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine syrup 5mg/5ml once or twice daily for 5-7 days would relieve the itch.
