What Causes Itchy Red Bumps On The Elbows?

I have in the last 3 months or so broken out on my elbows ( the left one is worse) with itchy , red, ( looks like acne bumps). the right one is mostly if not all healed, but the left one, will go away , then in a few weeks come back itching like crazy. I had a doctor look at it , she said it was serisis( I know I misspelled that). but it I had that would I not have on other parts of my body? Also , I know what that looks like, it s red with scaly patches around it. she gave me some Betamethason Dipropionate cream to apply to my elbows. but like I said the right one is fine now , but the left keeps coming and going. and I don t believe it s what she thinks it is either. any help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello there,

sounds like psoriasis or tinea.
please dip the affected area in liquid with pinch of salt in it for 10 mins.
apply aloe Vera if available.
tablet fluconazole 150 mg once a week for four weeks.
tablet cetirizine for itch at bed time.
Baridem-S lotion or clobetasol S cream, this lotion is effective in both the cases.
avoid sun exposure of the affected area.
hope this helps and kindly discuss the same with your doctor.

regards
