What Causes Itchy Rashes On Hands, Feet After Taking Buckley S Cough Syrup?

I have had an allergic reaction to I think buckles cough syrup. After taking it for 2 days I developed a slight rash and itching. Mostly in my hands and feet. I have quit taking the cough syrup 2 days ago and it the itching seemed to be getting better. But I just went outside for a few minutes in cold and my hands flailed up again itchy and redness. I am currently drinking lots of water and only eating broth soup. Any suggestion Thanks phil

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Buckley's original cough syrup contains acetaminophen and menthol which are unlikely to cause any allergic reaction ,you described. It seems you have cold allergy or cold urticaria. A course of non-sedating antihistaminic will help.
