What Causes Itchy Rashes On Body While Having Stomach Flu And Severe Headache?

I am just recovering from about 4 days with the flu. Not stomach flu. Had severe headache, body aches, chills, congested cough and a small fever one day. The symptoms started on Thursday and I had to stay in bed Friday-Sunday. Sunday I developed a new symptom, I developed an itchy rash on my torso, front and back as well as on the upper part of my face including my eyelids and forehead. It looks like a sunburn. There are no bumps. It itches a lot. 24 hrs later the rash seems to be getting worse not better. Likely need to go see a doctor tomorrow. Any ideas? The only other thing is I have been on Spironolactone for about 2 years (50mg/day) and started slowly getting off of it in the past few weeks.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this was the viral infection you had then such itching symptoms are very likely and it comes around on its own, history of taking spirolactone is nothing to take anything with this, you can try anti-histamine and best would be Tab Levocetirizine 10 mg three times in day hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
