What Causes Itchy Rashes Around Vagina After Dalacin?

Hi, I was in for vaginal septum removal last week Tuesday Dalacin VC(clindamycin phosphate) was prescribed. I ve developed a rash around the vagina and the labia is quite itchy, swollen and feels irritated. My periods stopped 2days ago and I ve noticed light brown watery discharge....

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on the symptoms that you described, you are allergic to this medication and it should be discontinued.

You should speak to your doctor to let him or her know about your reaction.

Using an anti histamine, both oral and topical would help with the itching such as benadryl, claritine, allegra or zyrtec

If you cannot find a topical antihistmine you can use mild topical steroid such as hydrocortisone.

The watery discharge is likely old blood. Abnormal bleeding can occur with physical stress or illness ,so this may be reason that you noted the blood.
