What Causes Itchy Rash On Stomach Below Belly Button?

I have this rash on my stomach right below my belly button and it started to spread, i started to believe it was from shaving so i stopped. Ive had it for about three months now, and i havent shaved. I havent grown hair there, but the rash has start to spread a bit. Its itchy and dries up, i put fungal cream on it, the swelling goes down, but it reappears after the cream wears off.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It may be either a fungal rash or dermatitis.

If it is dermatitis then possible it is related to a material or substance that comes into contact with that area.

A fungal rash is also a possibility particular but you would need to continuously apply the antifungal cream for 2 to 3 weeks for improvement to occur.
Fungal rashes can take long to respond to treatment.

If consistent treatment is used for this time period with no response then you should consider a topical steroid cream.

I hope this helps
