General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The commonest cause I can think about are one of the following:
* Reaction to local application like iodine, povidone iodine, spirit that is used for preparation of skin and think looks most probable
* Herpes should be considered
* Dermatitis to any other cause

I would advise you the following:
* Consult a dermatologist for best possible diagnosis so that a proper diagnosis can be done
* Take antihistamine
* Oral steroids if no diabetes
* Stop using soaps, synthetic underclothes
Further management as per the cause found.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
