What Causes Itchy Rash Along With Welts In Between The Buttocks?

A couple of weeks ago I had unprotected sex with a guy I knew. To my knowledge and upon questioning he said he had been std checked and was clear. A day later I got a morning after pill and the next day I had a small itching rash with slight welts on my buttocks in the crack. I went and got std tested and asked my gyno if it looked like herpes to which she replied not at all it just looked like an irritation. I didn t get the blood test thought I am today. The rash grew a bit but I decided to stop wearing a pair of jeans that seemed to make it worse and go without underwear and it seemed to get a bit better. I did a bunch of laundry the other day and though the pants and underwear would be fine but my rash got worse. My boyfriend and I had sex and I took another morning after pill and now the rash has spread to my groin but not my genitals. It looks a bit like razor burn, and there seem to be like a couple of pimples not blisters. I ve also had some odd rashes in other places but they ve cleared up. It itches like crazy. I did switch fabric softeners scents around that time but, I m worried I may have herpes? I have a history of sensitive skin and had eczema when I was young. Any help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I understand your problem is due to wet skin followed by a fungal and bacterial growth over it which is spreading.
I don;t know whether you have taken any medications till now or not.
The primary advice to you will be, 1. keep the area dry and wear loose cloth so that area is ventilated and keeps dry.
2. you should apply topical Antifungal and Antibacterial combination creams to confine the growth.
If this doesn't help you in the first 2-3 days, you should visit your GP so that he can evaluate the patches and advice accordingly.
Hope it helps.
