What Causes Itchy Burning Rash On The Skin After Changing Soap?
Hi. I've recently changed my soap and noticed a rash with burning and itching. I went to the health department and she saw that I have a sore. She tested it for herpes but I won't know anything until next week. I don't have a yeast infection nor bacteria infection. She said she didn't think it was herpes she just wanted to be sure. Could please give me some insight because I'm really stressing
I am sorry to hear about your problem and will like to solve it with the best of my knowledge. As per your complain burning and itchy rashes after changing a new soap seems to be probably due to Contact Dermatitis which is caused due to allergic reaction to any of the contents of the soap.
It does not seems to be due to any infection but looks like Allergic reaction to contents of soap. I would suggest you to first of all stop using the soap. You can do cool compresses over the rash. Take antihistamines like Levocetrizine or Benadryl. In case if it still does not resolve consult an Allergist or a Dermatologist and get evaluated.
Hope this information helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks and regards, Dr. Honey Nandwani Arora
