Hi

The kind of skin bumps your husband has developed could either be due to an allergic cause or it could be pityriasis rosea .
Allergic rashes are usually associated with itching and require treatment with topical and oral steroids along with antihistamines.
Do not apply any other cream or oil over the affected area.
Apply a topical steroid cream like cortisone cream over the affected areas twice daily .
I would advise you to see a nearby doctor soon for confirmation of the diagnosis and further management.
