What Causes Itchy Bumps All Over The Body?

Hi I have some itchy bumps throughout my body. They embarrassingly started on my vagina lips. I thought it was hair bumps and they spread and were itchy. Then they started going away leaving a dark mark. Then they actually started coming back in the same spot. The locations are random everywhere else. Like I did have one on my butt and around my belly button. Then when I felt like they were going away I would get them elsewhere or on the same spot. The one around my bellybutton came back as well. Then I got one on my breast... That one started to go away and I got one on my other breast. Now I have a few under my arm. I haven t shaved again because it seems like they came in shaved areas. But I m still getting them. My body is also starting to break out a little and I am itchy. I stopped using the soap I was using and detergent with no relief. Seems to be getting worse. I applied cream even oatmeal baths. Antihistamines don t really help either. The bumps are not red and if it is hair bumps why are they spreading and I m still getting them even though I stopped shaving? Help!

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
The condition you described is called scabies. Its a kind of parasitic infestation caused by a mite.
Consult a dermatologist, who would prescribe you oral drugs like ivermectin and antihistaminics. Also, apply a cream containing 5% permethrin, below neck onwards to cover whole body followed by bath in warm water after 8 hours. Do not repeat the same unless advised. Ideally, everyone in the family should be examined and treated in similar way to prevent recurrence.
Launder clothes and beddings in warm water.
Maintain proper hygiene.
Hope this will take care of your issue
Thank you
