General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Itchy anus with presence of bump, which bleeds occasionally are all indicative of 'fissure in ano'.
One of the prime precipitating factor for this is constipation. Kindly take fibre rich diet with laxatives and drink plenty of fluids to avoid constipation. You can apply Soframycin skin cream on the lesions twice daily. Kindly observe for two weeks for its improvement.
In case it continues to be the same, then you need to consult Surgeon to undergo minor procedure called 'fissurotomy'. That will get rid of your symptoms permanently.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
