Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have developed itchy areas (bumpy like areas under the skin, maybe 3 total ) on one side of my labia majora. Not possible to be std due to lifestyle. I work out a lot and recently did so without showering for a couple of hours after a 4.5 mile run. Could that be the cause, how should I treat.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your query, If you are sure about preventing STDs, the itchyness can be due to allergy to sweating/ flurishing of old nonactive fungal infection because of the sweat making the area moist & warm. Take a through wash &apply betrnovate N ointment-this should take care of it. In case it persists, consult a gynecologist for treating probable infection.Usually treatment of both sex partners is given. Thanks,
