What Causes Itchy And Burning Rash In The Groin Area?
I have a rash in my panty line in the groin area that itches and burns when I scratch it. I am 60 year old female that has Type 2 Diabetes. I thought I saw a similar rash on the inside of my arm after a warm shower but it disappeared after I dried off. What could this be a symptom of and how do I treat it?
Hello dear user, thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic and sharing your concerns, I thought that your symptoms matched with a fungal infection I advice you a topical treatment with clotrimazole or ketoconazole OTC cream, apply 3/times a day, it's could be helpful if you work preventing future infections, I recommend you wear fresh clothes such as cotton ( avoid nylons or synthetic fibers) keep clean and dry the area, a proper diet, use a powder such as lamisil, check your blood sugar level and take vitamins supplements. I hope that my advice has been helpful. wishing you a good health Dr Tania Portelles-Driggs
