Hello I ve had a pep smear done on April 9th 2015. Which I tested positive for hpv. My dr also said that I had an overgrowth of bacteria prescribed me for metronidazole. Which I taken at night for 5 days as requested to. Anywho now I m having an irritating itch with frequent urination. There s also dirt like substance on the toilet paper when I wipe after urinating. I take a shower every night I m a very clean person. Could o be having a UTI? Or is there something more serious going on? Please help
You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis. 1) Urine routine and culture. 2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis 3) Blood sugar levels on empty stomach and 2 hours after lunch to rule out Diabetes .
Take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkalizer thrice daily .
Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.
