What Causes Itching Sensation On The Upper Arm?

I have an issue Ive had for over a month.. its only on On my left bicep upper arm, I have extreme itching. There is no visible rash or insect bites of anykind. The skin gets very hot to the touch as tho it has fever. Ive been taking Bendryl. along with using Hydrocortisone 2%, and calimine lotion which doesnt help. Ive tried excema cream, apple cider, hydrogen peroxide, alcohol.. everything with no relief. The only thing that gives me temporary relief is putting ice packs on it till it goes numb. As per your case history of itching on arm, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like Calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or Betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
