What Causes Itching Sensation And Light Bleeding In Ears While Having High BP?

Hi..suddenly i feel my left ear iching so i decide to clean my ear with a cotton buds..then also in the right ear though it wsnt ichy but im surprise a tracebof blood was seen in the cotton bud.i went todoctor and found that my blood pressure was high 150/90.is it because of high bp..? Thank you..

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itching sensation and light bleeding in ears while having high BP which is caused by many factors like stress, ear infection, ear fluid accumulation, temporomandibular joint problem, and increase blood pressure. In your case it seems to me the increased blood pressure is main causative factor. Need not to worry. Keep your ear drops along with you. You should take antibiotics along with anti inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen and diclofenac. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry, low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax buildup , middle ear infection. Take steam inhalation. Avoid excessive hard substance eating.
